LuRE OF THE Temptress Lure of the Temptress was Revolution's very first adventure game and work began on it in 1989, even before Revolution's inception as an actual games development company. From the start our aim was to consider the contemporary adventures of the day and then bring something new to the genre. From this came the Virtual Theatre engine. VT allowed in-game characters to wander around the gameworld indepently of each other, living their own lives and doing their own thing. Another feature allowed the player to give direct orders to Helper characters - in this case Ratpouch - who would then go off to perform the task. These technology concepts were certainly unique, though Revolution were not sure how to develop them further in subsequent games. DRAGON QUESt The Hand of the Heavenly Bride Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride (ドラゴンクエストV 天空の花嫁 Doragon Kuesuto Faibu Tenkū no Hanayome, lit. "Dragon Quest V: Bride of Heaven"), known in Europe without the "V", is a console role-playing game and the fifth installment in the Dragon Quest video game series. Originally developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix Corporation, Dragon Quest V was the first title in the series to be released for the Nintendo Super Famicom (SFC) video game console in Japan on September 27, 1992. It has since been remade for the PlayStation 2 in 2004; which was developed by ArtePiazza and Matrix Software, and published by Square Enix only in Japan. Another remake was made for the Nintendo DS, and was released on July 17, 2008 in Japan. The remake was also released in North America and Europe, marking the first time the game had an official release in either territory. The game was released on February 17, 2009 in the U.S. and Canada. Along with Dragon Quest VI, the original Super Famicom release never reached North America. In the absence of an official translation, two finished fan translations exist for the Super Famicom version, and a fan translation of the PS2 version is in development. A lot of the names for items, people, and places do not match correctly between the fan translated and the official English version, but there exists Dragon Quest V conversion mappings. Dragon Quest V takes place over twenty years of the main character's life, in which he gets married and has a family. The title features a gameplay dynamic in which monsters from random encounters may offer to join the player's party.
